In late September, a representative of GeoCodis participated in a business delegation in Cairo, Egypt, as part of the eight-month European project EUROMED 4SB, led by the Slovenian Construction Cluster (SGG). The project aims to accelerate the construction sector’s transition toward sustainable construction, the circular economy, and digitalization in the Euro-Mediterranean region. In addition to the SGG, the Federation of Egyptian Industries – Environmental Compliance Office (FEI-ECO) and the Sustainable Infrastructure Cluster from Poland.
During the business meeting, participants presented activities and best practices in the field of sustainable construction in their respective countries and discussed opportunities for future cooperation. GeoCodis presented its solutions and past projects in the field of water management and the use of satellite technologies.
Later in the visit, the participants also toured the SmartGlass glass factory and the ElmarakBySteel steel mill, where they learned about their operations and solutions. The Slovenian participants also discussed the opportunities offered by cooperation with Egyptian companies at the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Egypt.
Such meetings provide an important opportunity to exchange knowledge, forge new connections, and explore opportunities for international cooperation in the field of sustainable and digital solutions
