From Rwanda, we travelled on a business trip to neighbouring Uganda.
Our visit began with participation in the opening event of the PanAfGeo+ project, which in Uganda is led by the Geological Survey of Slovenia (GeoZS). During the event, we discussed potential opportunities for our company’s involvement in the project.
The following day, we visited the Ugandan Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE), where we met with their representatives and discussed further collaboration within the UPMIS project. We paid special attention to the representatives of the Water Resources Monitoring Department, exploring possibilities for the use of satellite data in water resources monitoring and management.
During the business trip, we also met with several IT companies to discuss opportunities for developing new joint projects. The visit strengthened our partnerships and enhanced prospects for collaboration in the Ugandan and broader African market.
