The overall goal of the CEOIS project is to assist the geo-spatial unit of the World Bank.
The following information layers were provided and discussed with the end user:
– extent of informal settlements and their status (e.g. random distribution of housing, structured (presence of roads for supply delivery);
– surface water extent;
– grassland extent and status (permanency, activity, disturbance);
– land cover conversions (grassland to urban, forest to bare earth, forest to urban, forest to grassland etc.);
– degradation risk assessment.
The system is running on ONDA DIAS cloud platform. Web services REST-API where developed, published and successfully used on CEOIS WebMap prototype portal.
