After completing the training in Rwanda, we went to neighboring Uganda, where we started a project to upgrade the UPMIS system ( Utility Performance Monitoring and Information System). In Lira (the north of the country), we met with the users and the management of the Umbrella, an organization that takes care of drinking water supply. Together, we agreed on the details of the upgrade and ways to collaborate during development. Once the system is upgraded, data on the status of water networks will be more accurate as reporting will be done on a daily basis instead of monthly.
We also used the visit to Uganda to meet with business partners with whom we discussed opportunities for collaboration on current and future projects.
